The next day it was very cloudy in the morning. We left for breakfast at 8am, after some very sweet tasting cereal and sickly sweet coffee we attacked the streets. There weren't many people around and there still wasn't many all morning - well it just looked like a typical crowd i would expect in the city back home.
After lunch the clouds burnt off and sun appeared from its shelter. Suddenly there were hoards and hoards, no there were more than that!! A lot of people, though not ordinary people, these people were like us, they were tourists.
It was great to see some many people around riding bikes, this was a bikes town. Though no one really had much in the way of flash bikes many people had some sort of hybrid or commuter and then there was the odd occasional fixed wheeled bike (Fashion bike).
We did a lot of walking around on this day, in the morning we did a free tour of the Parliament buildings, this was very interesting and we learnt much (as well as got some great photos).
In the afternoon the tourist hoards in scared us from the center of town, we thought we would go and find Craigdarroch Castle. On the way to the Castle we stumbled across a great old church where we had a look around. After the church we finally found the Castle but chose not to pay the entry and wandered our way back to town.
Victoria is a beautiful but very touristy town.
